Piper Archer II - PA-28-181

The Piper Archer is one of the best fixed-gear trainers ever built. Known for its well-laid out cockpit, superb handling characteristics and "easy landing" abilities, the Piper PA-28 is used by nearly all of the large aviation training schools in the US... and many of the foreign airline training facilities.

In addition to it's stability and handling, the PA-28-181 is an excellent performer as well. The aircraft cruises 15 knots faster than a Cessna 172 and carriers 30 pounds more payload than a Cessna 182. Perhaps that is why the PA-28 is the most commonly produced low-wing aircraft in history.

Seattle Flight's two examples of the Piper Archer II are both very well-equipped. It is not uncommon to find air conditioning as an option on Piper aircraft, and one of our Archers has this feature. Both aircraft are also fitted with a all-leather interior with adjustable lumbar support for the front seats.

Our Archers have DME, ADF, dual Nav/Coms and dual CDI/glideslope indicators. Archer N43779 is equipped with a IFR-approved Garmin GNS-430 GPS with color moving map display. Archer N6206J will be receiving this upgrade soon.

Both aircraft are also outfitted with CD players, complete with a 4-place stereo intercom that automatically mutes the volume when either the pilots or air traffic control speak. The intercom then smoothly increases the volume back to the previous listening level.
