Is this course for me?

For those who are thinking about pursuing a pilot's license or are just fascinated by aviation, our One-Hour Introductory Flight is available for only $100. The flight will be conducted in an air conditioned Piper Archer II aircraft and will give you the opportunity to experience flight from a new perspective.

Our aircraft are outfitted with an all leather interior, CD players and air conditioning. So, don't forget to bring your camera and your favorite music CD!

What to expect on your introductory flight:

Prior to your flight, your instructor will explain the basics of aircraft control and cockpit instrumentation. Then you will join your instructor for the walk-around inspection and preflight preparation.

Under your instructor's guidance, you will take the controls and feel the exhilaration as you takeoff and fly a scenic route over the Seattle area. Where you go and what you see is up to you as you learn to maneuver the aircraft in flight.

During your 60 minute flight, you will learn to perform basic turns, climbs and descents. On many of our introductory flights, the instructor will not even touch the controls during this segment. Up to 90 percent of the flight is actually performed by the student, under their instructor's guidance!

Seattle Flight's One-Hour Introductory Flight is actually LESSON ONE from the JEPPESEN PRIVATE PILOT SYLLABUS. Your objective will be to learn the basics of aircraft control and to be introduced to aircraft instrumentation and simple maneuvering. At the end of you lesson, you will receive a "First Flight Logbook" and actually log your first hour of flight time, which may be applied later to your flight training. An instructor will answer any questions you may have and aid you in planning your training to meet your aviation objectives and fulfill your dreams of flight.

Both One-Hour Introductory Flight and Be-A-Pilot 25-Minute Flight customers have the option of paying in advance or purchasing a gift certificate through our Online Payment or by telephone. Gift certificates are usually mailed the same day.
