Is this course for me?

The Piper Archer Checkout is designed for customers who have at least FAA Private Pilot PTS proficiency in airplanes. Customers must possess an FAA-issued Private Pilot Airplane Single-Engine Land Certificate with an approved Third Class Medical Certificate or higher.

Prior to beginning the Piper Archer Checkout, customers must have met the FAA VFR currency requirements in single-engine land airplanes.

Customers may pick up a copy of the aircraft POH and other necessary materials and complete the Aircraft Knowledge Exam at their leisure. On the day of the flight, the customer should set aside four hours for flight and ground instruction and review. If customers would like to complete the checkout in one day without picking up the POH beforehand, they should allow for at least two additional hours to complete the Aircraft Knowledge Exam.
