Seattle Scenic Flight - Local 40-Minute

 

The Northwest's only 5-star scenic flight experience

 

What does it cost?

 

$150 total (for a maximum of 3 persons)

 

Or, $50 per person based on 3 passengers

 

Night discount - $15 off (departing 11pm to 8am)

 

Maximum combined passenger weight not to exceed 600 lbs.

24-hour advanced notice of cancellation required, except for weather cancellations by Seattle Scenic Flight pilot

 

What do I get?

 

Standard:

  • Air conditioned aircraft with all-leather interior

  • Complementary snacks and beverages

  • CD music entertainment (you may provide your own CD's if you desire)

  • Stereo headsets for each occupant

  • Scenic route map for each passenger

  • Post-flight memorabilia package including Northwest regional foods

  • Assistance in arranging of ground transportation

  • Digital photography and / or a video of your experience

    • Request photo / video option at least one day prior to your flight

A. Around the Sound - Extended

 

This flight gives you an extended tour of the north Puget Sound, including the Seattle waterfront, the south tip of Whidbey Island, the Kitsap Peninsula, Bainbridge Island and Elliot Bay.

 

Route:

  • Takeoff from Boeing Field and proceed northbound, past the Mariners' Safeco Field

  • Cruise along the Seattle waterfront, viewing skyscrapers and the signature Space Needle

  • Pass over the Ballard Locks and Shilshole Bay Marina

  • Fly north along the eastern shores of the Puget Sound

  • Turn west, passing over the south tip of Whidbey Island

  • Fly south along the Kitsap Peninsula and the western shores of the Puget Sound

  • Upon reaching Winslow on Bainbridge Island, turn back towards Seattle's Elliot Bay

  • Crossing Elliot Bay with the Seattle skyline to your left, arrive back at Boeing Field

B. Boeing Factory Flight

 

Take a sightseeing trip over Boeing's Everett factory, where the Boeing 747, 767 and 777 are built. Along the way, fly over Lake Washington, the University of Washington, the east shores of the Puget Sound and the Seattle waterfront.

 

Route:

  • Depart Boeing Field to the Northeast, heading out over Lake Washington

  • Fly north over Lake Washington, passing the home of Bill Gates and the University District

  • Cross over Everett's Paine Field, home of the Boeing widebody factory

  • View brand new 747's, 767's and 777's lined up for delivery on the Boeing Ramp

  • Fly south along the east shore of the Puget Sound

  • Pass over Shilshole Bar Marina and the Ballard Locks

  • Cruise along the Seattle waterfront, viewing skyscrapers and the signature Space Needle

  • Fly past the Mariners' Safeco Field and Seahawks Stadium as you arrive back at Boeing Field

C. Seattle - Tacoma Loop

 

This flight loops around the state's two largest cities. View the Port of Tacoma, the Tacoma-Narrows Bridge, the western shores of Vashon Island and West Seattle.

 

Route:

  • Depart Boeing Field to the south, flying over the Kent Valley and Boeing Space Center

  • On your right, view the terminal buildings and airliners takeoff and landing at Sea-Tac airport

  • Fly past Lake Tapps, before turning to the west and overflying the Port of Tacoma

  • Pass over the Tacoma-Narrows Bridge and then proceed northbound towards Vashon Island

  • Cruise along the west shores of Vashon Island before flying over West Seattle

  • Descend over the Duwamish River back into the Boeing Field area for a landing

D. Snoqualmie Falls and Seattle Skyline

 

Take in the majesty of the Cascade Mountains' Snoqualmie Falls and the Seattle skyline on the same flight!

 

Route:

  • Depart Boeing Field to the east, crossing over Mercer Island

  • Follow Interstate-90 past Lake Sammamish to Snoqualmie Falls

  • Circle the powerful Snoqualmie Falls before turning back to the west

  • Follow the 520 Bridge, passing over the University of Washington and Lake Union

  • Split between the Space Needle and Queen Anne Hill

  • Turn south along the Seattle waterfront, passing over the Mariners' Safeco Field

  • Arrive back at Boeing Field for landing

E. Snoqualmie Falls and Cascade Foothills

 

View evergreen forests, foothills, lakes and the Snoqualmie Falls on this southeasterly loop.

 

Route:

  • Depart Boeing Field to the south, crossing the Kent Valley as you turn eastbound

  • Pass over Lake Youngs and overfly lush forests as you view Mt. Rainer to your right

  • Fly through the pass of Tiger Mountain in Issaquah and turn east along Interstate-90

  • Circle the powerful Snoqualmie Falls before turning back to the west

  • Cross over Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington, and then pass over Mercer Island

  • Arrive back at Boeing Field for Landing

The above route describes days with southerly winds. Winds from the north will result in the route being run in reverse.

F. South Sound Loop

 

Takeoff over Elliot bay as you turn to the southeast on your way to explore the many inlets and coves of the south Puget Sound, including Gig Harbor.

 

Route:

  • Depart Boeing Field, heading out over Elliot Bay with the Seattle skyline to your right

  • Turn west, crossing the Puget Sound and Blake Island

  • Pass Port Orchard as you fly over the Kitsap Peninsula

  • Circle over Henderson Bay and the Carr Inlet, viewing the sprawling waters to the south

  • Fly over Gig Harbor, with the Tacoma-Narrows Airport and bridge to your right

  • Cruise up the middle of Vashon Island, passing Wax Orchards and the Vashon's grass airports

  • Cut across North Vashon Island and follow the route of the Fauntleroy Ferry

  • Pass low over West Seattle, viewing Sea-Tac airport on your right

  • Descend over the Duwamish River back into the Boeing Field area for a landing
